What does the term baptism actually mean? In these days in order to become a Jew, if you were male you needed to be circumcised and baptized. If you were a female you needed to be baptized. Baptism is done with the immersion of water. When God does things in a way that we do not recognize, do we rejoice, or try to stop it? Whatever we have, we have received from God and therefore we owe it to Him. We should not be upset when people desire to follow Jesus. Our goal should be to help others to depend on God. We should want people to follow after Jesus and not us. Do we hear the Shepherd's voice when He speaks? If we do hear His voice, then we will follow His word. God has placed all authority in the hands of Jesus. We must follow the Lord and not the enemy if we desire eternal life. Until we believe that God is Holy and His wrath is real, we are in no position to believe the gospel. Jesus is the One we have all been waiting for.
