What does it mean to hear from God? What does it mean to follow His commands? If you want to know God's will you can. God is not trying to keep us from knowing and doing His will. The Lord declares that He is the Shepherd and we are His sheep, He will let us know what to do and when to do it. Often times God's will includes not only blessings but difficulty. Sometimes when we ask God what to do, He will say this is the way. Sometimes when we ask God what to do, He will be silent. If we are not seeking to do God's will, we should not expect to get guidance from the Lord. If we are willing to do anything that God desires, than He will direct our paths. The Lord will give us what we need, when we need it. Our job is to seek the Lord and He will show us what to do. If we are willing to obey God in all things, He will show us the rest.
