Part 1: We all need to change and one way that we change, is to get rid of some old things. What comes naturally to us are some of the things we need to get rid of. Malice is a great desire to see someone hurt, it is a hostile, bad attitude towards people. Malice can sometimes seem understandable, however it is sin and therefore it is wrong. We must be honest with who we are, and we must be honest with our problems. We need to realize that it is not what people think about us that matters, it is what they think about Jesus. Envy is when we wish we were something other than what God made us. We are not supposed to be somebody else, we are to be who God made us to be. Slander is when we say things about other people in order to tear them down. If we don't desire the Word of God, something is wrong. We need to continually be reminded of the basic truths. We need to go back to the gospel, again and again. We need to taste and see that the Lord is good.
