We see that Isaac's family has a generational problem of deceit. Isaac thought he was going to die because he lost his eyesight. We should take good care of our bodies by eating right and excercising. Isaac would spend decades waiting to die. Whatever time we have, we need to use it for the glory of God. We may die sooner than we anticipate or we may die later than we anticipate. Only God knows how many days are left. Even if our parents try to get us to do something wrong, we are not to do it. No one has the authority to get us to do God forbids or forbid us from doing something God commands. We are not to trust people who are not trust worthy. Some people will bring the Lord into their lies in order to deceive. Our words matter and even if our earthly fathers did not bless us, we can receive blessings from our Heavenly Father for eternity. God did not choose Jacob because he was a better man, God chose Jacob because He wanted to choose Jacob.
