We need to think soberly and not more highly than we ought. We are not supposed to be focused on ourselves but on the magnificence of God. Within the body of Christ, we have different gifts and functions. We are not to put ourselves down or others down when looking at others. God designed every part of us and each person with a plan and a purpose. God’s plan for us is good, acceptable, and perfect. Each member in the body of Christ is interconnected. We have been given a function that we do not deserve in the body and it’s all based on grace. It is not enough to be right. We are to live in harmony with one another. There is a difference between harmony and unison. For example, in music, unison occurs when everyone sings the same note. Harmony is when people sing different notes that blend well together. The longer we live, the more we realize that there is so much we don’t know. We are supposed to be like Jesus, who lowered Himself to become like one of us. If we are followers of Jesus Christ, we cannot think of ourselves more highly than we ought. It is not enough to be right, we are to live in harmony with one another. We must think correctly about ourselves.
