God is in control and disobedience brings death, even Moses risked his life if he did not obey. When God commands something we are not to ignore what He says because we do not agree with Him. In truth, Christianity is a bloody religion. God chose to love us and provide His sacrifice to take away our guilt and sin. God is in control and we had better follow His commands. God is not making things up as we go along. God has everything planned out and He is not waiting on our response. When God tells us to do something in His word, we need to know exactly that is what God wants us to do; even if it is scary and upsets people. Nothing should be as scary or uncomfortable as upsetting God. Jesus died for us because God loves us not because we love God. We are saved from the wrath of God and as He has promised He will destroy the Earth. We need to obey God always, even what we might think is small stuff to us. The right response to God is worship and true worship always involves obedience to God.
