Jesus was doing what the Father told Him to do. His food is to do the will of Him who sent Him. The norm for Jews in Samaria is not to associate with Samaritans at all. However Jesus asks a woman from Samaria because He was obedient to the Father. Not only was Jesus' words guided by the Father, but also the questions from the woman were from the Father. God is the One who is drawing us to Himself. Jesus is in the process of revealing Himself to the woman of Samaria and spoke things that only God could know. God knows all about us, everything. The thing that is so amazing is that He loves us. We will embarrass ourselves by trying to cover things us. Instead, if we confess our sins, He will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we try to say that there is nothing wrong with sin and we do not need to be forgiven then we will stay in our unrighteousness. We can go to God Himself and worship Him, not in a geolocation, but in Spirit and in truth. There is false worship going on but God is looking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. We must be broken over our sin and the sin of others. Do we recognize when we are in the presence of Jesus? It is not enough for us to trust Jesus because someone else has said, we must know personally ourselves.
