Jesus went where God the Father wanted Him to go. God ordained all the steps of Jesus. God plans and fulfills His plans. Repent means a change of mind that leads to a change in direction. By God’s grace, we can change. The Kingdom of God is about a relationship. Jesus is Lord, He is not up for office and God’s promises are still being fulfilled. In order for us to be in a right relationship with Jesus, we have to change. By God’s grace, we do not do the changing on our own, He helps us. If Jesus says to stay, we need to stay, if He says go, we need to go. A repentant heart does things right away. Peter and Andrew were fishermen, making a living by catching fish. Jesus told them to follow Him and He would make them fishers of men, in other words, to enlist others in the Kingdom of God. We are to follow Jesus to the best of our knowledge. Then Jesus will make us what He wants us to be. Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords. The good news is about the Kingdom.
